Why reservation is necessary for poor upper-class ?
After India's independence in 1947, India got its independent constitution. This Constitution is committed to the citizens of entire country to provide equality rights in every field. Through our Constitution, we have the right that we have the freedom to live our tradition and life of our culture everywhere in the country. Before our independence, our country was divided into small states, which had their domination according to their geographical status. Since the ancient India, there was a Varna system since ancient times, according to which the society was divided into four classes, certain tasks of four classes were fixed, such as Brahmin Reading and Teaching , Kshatriyas in governance, Vaishya trade etc. and Shudras to serve . Initially, every class was considered equal, but gradually the distortions began to come in society, which in turn resulted in form of harassment of sudras, which was on top till independence. After our independence, our law-makers thought that everyone should get proper opportunity. And those who are weaker sections need special attention. But at that time it was a misconception that poverty was only in people of special class and those people of particular classes were given some comfort and special opportunity in form of reservation . Under which he had some concession in qualification. Slowly other poor castes also started demanding reservation; some of them got some struggle still.
On the basis of reservation, the country was classified into three parts: Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, Backwards and general Classes.General classes are those,
among them, the reservation was not received in any area. The society has been expressing its grief. Political parties were also talking about it in closed rooms but no one spoke openly. Reservations for political parties became a matter of vote and political parties roamed it.
The fundamental objective of reservation was to help to the poors and the inferior sections but it lost their goal, the beneficiaries would consider it as their right. Of course, those who are weak should get reservation indisputably, but those who are capable and rich are getting benefits on the basis of the caste .
The truth is that the poors & richs are in every caste, their ratio can vary. There are also many poors in upper caste society. There are many such families who do not have a house to live, not wearing clothes, there is no money to study but due to the existence of upper caste they do not get any help. The upper caste society is very unhappy with its ignorance that no one is listening to his pain, and his misery increases further when he sees that by facing all the difficulties, if he does not pass after getting eighty marks in any examination and A caste special, which is of a capable family, passes on the strength of reservation by bringing fifty-five marks.
Reservations should be received but those who are really needing a reservation should be of any caste, class, religion and community.
